Wild Wing's 4-Month Restoration, $87.6M in Horry County Deeds & 47 Jobs Hiring Now
📰 Lead Story: Wild Wing Goes Dark for 4-Month Overhaul
One of Myrtle Beach's most recognizable golf courses is getting a full makeover. Wild Wing's Jeff Brauer-Larry Nelson layout is currently closed for a four-month restoration project expected to wrap up in late September, just in time for fall season.
The work includes rebuilt greens, restored pin locations, renovated bunkers, improved drainage, and new forward tees on 16 holes. The beloved ninth hole "Valley of Sin" is also coming back.
Architect Jeff Brauer described the philosophy behind the redesign: the Myrtle Beach golfer isn't looking for a PGA Tour challenge — they want wide fairways, big greens, memorable holes, and a layout that's accessible and enjoyable.
The clubhouse is getting a facelift too. The pro shop is being redesigned with an upscale-casual feel, and the grill area is transitioning into a sports bar with golf simulators and an updated menu.
Reopening target: late September.

🏠 Real Estate — June 3, 2026
Horry County recorded 67 deeds today totaling $87.6 million in volume on June 2nd, led by one of the largest single commercial transactions the Grand Strand has seen in years.
The headline: Miramar Acquisitions exited the FedEx Ground distribution facility at Fantasy Harbour for $56.6 million, selling to SMBC Leasing and Finance, a Japanese bank subsidiary. The structure points to a sale-leaseback — Miramar bought in February 2023 for $61.8M, held three years, and exited with the income stream intact. Strip that deal out and the residential market produced $31 million across 66 transactions,a solid day on its own.
We are working diligently on adding Georgetown County data to the real estate section as well… Stay tuned!
